About us
Klaveness Digital AS was created on the back of Torvald Klaveness, a company that has provided efficient and dependable shipping services to industrial cargo customers worldwide for more than 75 years. Driven by our unwavering ambition to revolutionize the industry by utilising digital technology, Klaveness Digital was established in 2018 as a stand-alone entity within the group.
Having worked closely with leading industrial companies, we identified that many companies relied heavily on manual processes to manage maritime logistics. This often led to costly events such as demurrage, higher freight costs, substantial amounts tied up in working capital, and other costs associated with supply chain waste.
Our product CargoValue, is a testament to our commitment to assisting customers in significantly reducing costs and risks associated with both shipping and inventory management. We are incredibly proud of our heritage, and strive to exceed expectations as we continue to improve the nature of shipping.
Our ambition is to become the leading tech company within the shipping and logistics space, through transforming the way industrial companies manage their seaborne supply chains. Together with our customers we are changing the way industrial companies manage their seaborne logistics, building the next generation of resilient, decarbonized, and cost-effective supply chains.

Ernst Meyer
Chairman of the Board
Ernst Meyer has been with Torvald Klaveness in 2019 in the roles of Chief Operations Officer and Managing Director for Klaveness Ship Management. In January 2022, he was appointed new Chief Executive Officer for Torvald Klaveness. Prior to joining Torvald Klaveness, Meyer worked 20 years for Det Norske Veritas (DNV) in various executive positions.
Liv Hege Dyrnes
Board member
Liv Dyrnes, a Norwegian national, born 1980, has been the CFO of Klaveness Combination Carriers ASA since the inception in 2018. She was appointed CFO of Torvald Klaveness in 2017 after 8 years in the company. Prior to joining Klaveness, she worked in the Shipping, Offshore and Logistics unit in DNB Bank. Dyrnes is a Board Member of Airthings ASA and Cytovation ASA. She is a member of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association Committee for Capital and Tax.
Gøran Andreassen
Board member
Gøran Andreassen has more than 20 years of experience across private equity, investment banking and industry positions. He joined Torvald Klaveness from the role as Senior Partner in OMP Capital and prior to that Partner in HitecVision, where he served on the board of multiple portfolio companies during his seven years with the firm. Previous positions include Partner with Clarksons Platou and various managerial and engineering roles in DNV and Aker Solutions.
Sten-Roger Karlsen

Sten-Roger Karlsen has been the CEO of Ørn Software for the past four years of his 22 years working in software and technology. During Karlsen’s tenure, the company raised more than 250 NOKm from international investors for its IPO on the Euronext Growth Stock Exchange in March 2021 and has increased its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) by more than 1100%. In addition, Karlsen has also served as COO of the maritime tech company Star Information Systems AS, as well as holding the same position with Ecowat AS and Sales and Marketing Director with Sensorlink.
Thomas Falck
Board member
Thomas Falck is a professional Board Member and long-term backer of technology-based growth companies - as an angel investor, Board Member, or advisor. He has been the CEO of two international software and technology companies with Visma Marine ASA and Q-Free ASA, and he recently served as Head of SaaS Strategy & Execution and CFO of Cognite AS – a Norwegian ‘Unicorn’. Falck has also been Chairman of Investinor AS, the Norwegian state-owned VC and Fund-of-Fund investor, as well as Managing Partner of Verdane Capital IV AS/Verdane Private Equity AS, as Executive Vice President in Visma Marine AS (SpecTec), a Principal Consultant in Gemini Consulting as well as having served as the Executive Officer of a Submarine.
